At Unleashed Pets, the well-being and safety of your beloved furry family member is our foremost concern. From the layout of our facility to our established protocols, we ensure your pet can play and stay with complete confidence, free from concerns of injury or illness.

• Centralized wall vacuum system - No mops or buckets at Unleashed Pets!! Our facility utilizes an integrated system that provides disinfectant, fresh water, and powerful vacuuming. Surfaces are thoroughly disinfected and nearly 98% dry upon completion, eliminating any risk of residue burns on your pets' paws from leftover disinfectant. All soiled water and organic materials are effectively vacuumed and disposed of through a specialized system. This guarantees that our facility stays immaculate and entirely odor-free! Come by and sniff for yourself!

• UV Lighting- We have specialized animal care facility specific UV lighting in our HVAC systems.  Preventing the spread of infectious disease in animal care environments takes a multipronged infection control approach that includes UV. UV disinfection technology kills more than 99.9% of tested virus and bacterial pathogens, including Bordetella, canine influenza, distemper, and more.

• Dehumidifiers- Humidity fosters the growth of bacteria, which is why each of our HVAC systems is equipped with a dehumidifier. This essential component ensures that the air we process remains dry, effectively helping to inhibit the proliferation and distribution of bacteria across the facility.

• Rubber Flooring- Our indoor playrooms feature cushioned rubber flooring designed to protect your pets' joints while they enjoy their playtime. Furthermore, the rubber is completely sealed to inhibit bacteria from becoming embedded in the surface. The concrete beneath the rubber flooring has also been thoroughly sealed.

• Antimicrobial Turf- Our outdoor play area boasts a complete coverage of pet-specific antimicrobial artificial turf, designed with excellent drainage beneath. This ensures our play space remains free from standing water or mud, which can promote the growth of bacteria and parasites. Additionally, our turf can be fully disinfected whereas grass and dirt can not.

• Sani Kennels- All of our suites have been expertly crafted by Midmark, a leader in animal care equipment. Each suite features a specially designed sani seal that effectively prevents liquids from permeating into adjacent suites, thereby inhibiting the spread of bacteria and viruses. Furthermore, every suite has been thoroughly caulked for enhanced protection.

• Epoxy/sealed floors- In our boarding area and self-wash, we feature epoxy flooring. Known for their remarkable durability, epoxy floors can be disinfected repeatedly without any concerns. This material effectively seals the floors, preventing bacteria, parasites, and viruses from embedding themselves within the surface. Additionally, the concrete in the common areas of the facility is completely sealed, which inhibits bacterial growth and facilitates effortless cleaning and disinfection.

• Disinfection- We take great care to ensure that every area of our facility is thoroughly disinfected. Our dishwasher operates at high temperatures to effectively sanitize all food and water bowls, enrichment items, and toys. Additionally, all blankets and towels are washed in hot water with the added benefit of a laundry sanitizer. We utilize cleaning and disinfecting products specifically formulated for the pet industry, which are proven to eliminate bacteria, parasites, and viruses commonly found in pet care settings.

• Vaccinations- Alongside the vaccines mandated by the state, we also require that every pet visiting Unleashed Pets is vaccinated against leptospirosis, a bacterial illness that poses risks to both dogs and humans and can be deadly if not treated. Moreover, an annual negative fecal test is also a requirement. One of the major challenges faced by dog parks is the presence of parasites, some of which can pose a threat to humans as well.
